Question

A study was done to determine the effect of living near cell phone towers on brain cancer occurance. All of the brain cancer patients being treated in a hospital were identified (n = 75), another 75 patients that had non-brain cancer were identified as being similar (eg. same age, gender, time of treatment) to the brain cancer patients. Of the patients with brain cancer 20 had lived near a cell phone tower. 15 of the patients with other cancers lived near a cell phone tower. The researchers want to know if living near a cell phone tower and brain cancer independent?
State the null and alternate hypotheses and calculate the test statistic.
