Some developing nations want to "catch up" with the West in terms of economic development and standard of living by using the same kinds of industrial practices. They are cutting down forests to raise cattle for beef, using pesticides that have been banned in the developed nations on export crops, and polluting their water and air with industrial and agricultural wastes. Do you think it's fair to expect them to be environmentally conscious when the developed nations were not? Do they have a right to the same standard of living that Americans have, no matter what the environmental costs?
This is very much valid point these days. The American culture for no good reasons is always talk of the world. I come from India, Indians are responsible for developing American. Many Indian brains are working there at good posts.
Now-a-days craze of studying and working in America has reduced. We can expect developing countries to set target even if developed countries hadn't. Each country has different norms. The environmental norms are also changing which every country needs to follow. The developed country which was developing once followed different environmental standards whereas today the developing countries have different export rules as well standards.
In India at least there is wave everywhere that do not follow America every time. Use your own products, live your own lifestyle. As it is impossible always to adopt lifestyle of the other nations
