Ans : Euthanasia refers to the assisted suicide of a terminally ill patient. Some states say it is wrond and illegal and hence should not be done , but according to me this should be up to the families , the patient and doctor involved in the case. It is very disheartening to see a patient who is suffering and waiting and pondering about when he is going to die. One should be allowed to make their own choices in life , and when you know there are no other options to make things better , then it should be left to the people concerned , rather than waiting and keep them suffer.

In almost all U.S. states, passive nonvoluntary euthanasia (withdrawing life-sustaining treatment from incompetent patient) is legal when the patient’s legal proxy (durable power of attorney for health care, or next of kin, or healthcare representative), wishes to let him/her go, only when the patient is (1) in end-stage and terminally ill or (2) permanently unconscious. However, the Catholic Church is against the latter case. Thus, in Catholic hospitals, the health care proxy’s request for the euthanasia on the permanently unconscious...
