To introduce topic of dying to a terminally I'll patient is difficult one. Nurse should use critical thinking and cultural and religious beliefs of patient to introduce this topic. You may have to act like a philosopher. Also you have to encourage the patient that whatever will happen they are committed to caring for him. It is most important to communicate to patients for expressions of reassurance and non-abandonment, which could include explicit statements that every effort will be made to ensure comfort throughout the course of the patient’s illness.
