Ahhhhh.... stress! I think this is a topic that many college students can relate to. It is unfortunate that stress is something that continues to exist as we get older. Based upon what you learned this week, what advise would you give to young adults to help them develop effective stress management that they can continue to use throughout their lives?
effective stress management :
1. Don’t suffer in silence. An individual can deal with stress easily if they have someone to talk to.
2. Talking to somebody you trust can really help you to deal with stress. it gives more perspectives on how to tackle the problems that are the cause of your stress.
3. Make a list of all the things in your life that are making you feel stressed. write them down on a piece of paper, and plan how to solve them.
4. deal with these problems one at a time.
5. try to get your mind off of things that are bothering you. it helps to take a break and clear your mind.
6. try to relax if you have not found an answer for it. thinking more about your problems will make you feel more stressed.
7. get some exercise. it has been researched that exercise helps you calm down and the endorphins that are released makes a person feel good.
8. if you are not able to deal with your problems and the stress is affecting your health and your will to live, it might be time to consult a counsellor.
