How does secure attachment influence cognitive and social/emotional development in childhood and the implications for well being in adulthood, particularly in work and intimate relationships?
Secure attachment reflects is security of that baby. The baby feels comfortable or secure enough as someone bis there to care, nurse or love her. They babies who are not soothed they cry and began to mistrust. They want somebody but do not get anyone when the attachment style is not secure. The secure attachment develops confidence and such individuals develop strong emotionally and socially. They are able to decisions well even in down situation and do not loose their temper easily since their love or emotional need is already fulfilled.
At work place the person would be able to handle stressful situations and can find copings mechanisms. Whereas the other one would go more into stress and may raise voice or throw temper. Same would happen with intimate relationship person who has received love would be able to give love and person who has not got attachment would have difficulty bin expressing themselves.
