Think about the significant physical, cognitive, and psychosocial milestones that occur during Middle Childhood (7-11 years), as well as the impact (positive or negative) that each can have on future development. Now, take a moment to reflect on your own growth and development during this stage. What major life events did you experience? How may those events have impacted your physical, cognitive, or psychosocial development to this point? Remember that, in addition to recalling your own experiences, you can often find out a lot by talking to relatives. You may also be able to infer certain things about this period of your life by reflecting on current physical, cognitive, and emotional traits (including your attachment style) that may have stemmed from your development during Middle Childhood.

Answer #1

This is the phase of development that takes place between adolescence as well as early childhood. This is the phase that acts as the transition phase in which there would be emotional development as well as development of a certain amount of confidence, which in turn entails the children to identify and understand the elements of development. In this phase, there would be complete transformation from the phase of physical as well as psychological dependence to independence. This is a transition into self sufficiency.

This is the stage in which there would be industry vs inferiority. The basic virtue found in this stage is competency. When I entered my school there was an increase in the friends that I made, along with identifying the most important talents that I had. I continued to carry my creativity in a greater frequency, trying to get better at it. There was development of a specific skills which in my case was athlete.

I began to become more confident, finding myself part of an ingroup, where we would be carrying out lunches and training together. There would be enough encouragement from the fiends along with a boost if any of us would be sad.
