The Commerce Clause in Article 1 of the U.S Constitution has allowed the federal government to grow and become very strong. Why?

Answer #1

Clause 3 of section 8 of article 1 in the constitution grants the Congress the power to regulate commerce with the tribes, between states and international commerce. This particular part in the constitution favours the federal government in controlling trade but the states have fewer power and that too whatever the federal government doesn't want to regulate. This best part about this clause is that all the international trade that generate huge revenues are in the hands of the federal government. So this control gives the federal government to grow and become strong.
