Likert scaling method is a rating scale of measuring opinions and attitudes on a subject widely used in surveys.The respondents are required to rate their feelings of agreement or disahreement with a particular statement related to the subject.The statementscare designed to tap in all the components of the issue being studied.For each statement the respondent is given 5- 9 pre-coded responses. The 5 point likert scale is generally in the form of

Strongly Agree , agree , undecided , disagree, strongly disagree.

Each option os assigned a numerical value, to analyze the data quantitatively.These scales are quick and easy to administer and do not force the respondent to take extreme Yes/No choices. Disadvantage can be that it can be manipulated for social desirability.
