Wouldn't family life be so much simpler if we didn't have jobs that required us to work outside the home? What about the work insider the home, wouldn't it be easier if we were not required, as members of a family to do work inside the home? Ok! Work is a reality for many families. Is there an ideal balance between family work and other work required of family members?

I do believe that there is an ideal balance between family work and other work required by family members. The family is a social unit and every individual has a responsibility to play towards its successful functioning. Traditionally, societies were such that it was usually the females who took care of the household duties and chores whereas the male memebers were the ones who would work outside the family for the family’s bread and butter. However, in modern societies, this distinction has given way to a system where both parties are more or less equally involved in both the activities. Prioritising one’s time according to ensure both types of activities are taken care of would definitely lead to an ideal balance between the parties.
