The symptoms of ADHD are divided into two groups—inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive. While some children exhibit mostly a certain type of symptoms, others may have a combination of both. Children with ADHD may find it extremely challenging to which function in school. Some of the symptoms pertaining to inattentiveness include a tendency to make careless mistakes in school work, overlooking important details, being easily distracted or sidetracked, difficulty following instructions and trouble organizing tasks and possessions. Hyperactive or impulsive symptoms of ADHD is manifested through symptoms such as being fidgety, having trouble staying in the seat, running and climbing where it’s inappropriate, having trouble playing quietly, being extremely impatient and not being able to wait for one’s turn.
