Take the stoop effect test Submit one or two paragraphs about your experience.
The Stroop test presented me with names of different colours. However, these words were not presented in an ordinary fashion. Rather, a particular colour was written in an ink of another colour. For example, when the word ‘BLUE’ was presented, it was in red ink. This is where it got slightly confusing. The task set out by the test required me to name the colour of the ink (i.e. Red) while ignoring the colour stated as the word (i.e. Blue). I realized that naming the word comes much more naturally than naming the ink. In many cases, I ended up responding incorrectly.
