Answer #1

Death or departure from a loved one can be traumatic. It has devastating psychological effect on the person, and if the process of mourning is not completed, there would not be a psychological equilibrium. There are essentially four types of mourning.

1.Acknowledging and accepting the reality of loss.

2.Processing the pain of the grief.

3.Adjusting and accommodating in an environment,in the absence of the deceased.

4.Finding an emotional ,compassionate relationship and cherishing the moments that one had with the deceased.

A helper can assist an individual who is in the process of mourning the loss of a loved one in multiple ways. Two of them are as follows.Firstly, a helper can assist them in accepting and acknowledging the loss of the loved one. Funeral rituals and attending memorials is one way of the ways to make the other realise the reality of the loss. One can start referring to the deceased in the past tense. These are technical ways of accepting the permanent loss of the loved one.Often, one accepts the physical absence of the deceased. However, psychologically, the trauma still plays an important role in mourning. The psychological mourning can only be achieved once they accept the death of the relationship and its subsequent effect on them.

Secondly,I can help the person by aiding him to process the pain of the grief. This is a complex task as humans have diverse emotions, and in the face of acceoting the death of the relationship, multiple facets of psyche emerges. It is important to process the meaning of loss and what does death of the person means to them.Finding the meaning itself can be a healthy process of mourning.Denying one's emotions around death can be unhealthy and can very well lead to pathology like chronic depression. Therefore,I can help the other person by encouraging them to feel, express and seek meaning of the loss.

If I want to donate blood after my death,I would have to follow the below steps.I would have to register with UNOS,which is a nonprofit organization. It is the head department that is contracted by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is responsible for organ transplant across the U.S. It aids in matching the donated organs and blood type with the transplant participant.A consent from the caregiver is neccesary before applying for blood donation. The blood donated is labelled so that the difference is maintained between a therapeutic and a healthy donor. I would be screened for health risk.Since some of the blood may be given to pregnant women, the donors are medically screened. For example, If I am consuming teratogenic medicines which can cause birth defects, I wouldn't be allowed to donate blood to pregnant women in need.A sterilized needle is used to pump my blood out.My blood would be stored in a container and it would take 15-20 minutes in total, for the donation process to be completed.Last but not the least,it would be essential for me to be hydrated(drink orange juice) and eat healthy post the donation,to avoid any kind of weakness.
