there has been a long tradition in studying politics as a proper field. The roots were present in Ancient Greece. This had been explained by the Greeks in the form “politika”. These explained ethics as well as morality for defining an ideal state. This also rooted with the studies of Aristotle as well as Plato. Further, this was followed by St.thomas Aquila’s as well as st. Augustine who put forward their ideals for an ideal state.

Further, Italian thinkers, began studying political institutions which have been historically present. In 1923, there had been the set up of social science research council, which put forward, research in sociology, economics, as well as political science,
