Textbook: Bridges Not Walls by John Stewart (11th Edition) - Class: Interpersonal Communication
In Chapter 2, Stewart discusses how our identities are impacted by the events and the people we interact with. Compare two interactions you have had in which your identity was somehow different based on the situation or person you were communicating with.
It is exactly true that our identities changes by the events or the person we interact with. Even I have experienced it in my life. When I was made to have a interaction with the people who are more rigid in their view or concept, they just made me think in their way instead of just letting my concept out in front of them. This has a greater influence on me when I dont even know about these impacts that we may get when we feel inferior or place those people higher than us.
Even their impact doesn't happen only because of their talent or some other way , it also depends on the person who got influenced by them. That is the person who can influence by those events or other person feels or have a thought that they are always right and we should follow them inorder to reach a good position in life.
