No matter where we turn, we are confronted with hate groups, hate crimes, white supremacists, hate web-sites, ethnic cleansing, massacre, now an ever increasing terrorist action.
Is this a new phenomena, or is this just becoming more obvious due to the media? What exists within the U.S. society that makes this so prevalent?
What about other cultures? Canada, Europe, Asia? What do you think that you and I can do?
I believe hate crimes existed early as well. Though, there is a definite increase in prevalence. But, one of the key reasons why we witness the same every now and then is because and inflow of immigrants at a greater rate, the hyperactive media and the narrative that has been set that onlyour country people should be moving ahead, and that too people of only one ethnicity.
Within the US society, the hate crimes date back to the previous centuries. The history of United States is based on hate crimes, discrimination etc, how can we remain completely untouched by the same now. Of course, the mentality and ideas have changed in the past few years but roots still remain.
What we could do isstat at the ground level,on,y if we are able to change the thought of people in our houses,or communities, we would be able to change the society at a larger level.
