Explain why, based on faraday's law a simple AC generator requires power conditioning before being sent into grid ?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ac generator: At power station across generator is synchronize Ac generator . According to Faraday law when conductor rotate in magnetic field it will induced emf in conductor .This emf is called the output voltage of generator .The generator should rotate at the constant speed so that frequency of output voltage and current is same . before being sent into the grid the AC generator should synchronize with grid the only it can efficiently able to delivered active and reactive power to grid . before sending to the grid voltage should be step up so that copper losses minimize and after reaching the grid voltage should be step down so that we can use it effectively .

Marcus Lim, the cost accountant for Hi-Power Mower Company, recently installed activity-based costing at Hi-Power’s St. Louis lawn tractor (riding mower) plant where three models—the 8-horsepower Blade runner, the 12-horsepower Quick cut, and the 18-horsepower Super cut—are manufactured. Marcus’s new product costs for these three models show that the company’s traditional costing system had been significantly under costing the 18-horsepower super cut. This was due primarily to the lower sales volume of the Super cut compared to the Blade runner...

please summrize this for me? as soon as possilbe. CNN)In June, Whitney Tomlinson felt nauseated at work. She was pregnant at the time and was experiencing the condition commonly, and misleadingly, known as morning sickness. Hormone-induced nausea doesn't know what time of day it is. Tomlinson, a 30-year-old single mother and packer at a Walmart Distribution Center in Atlanta, told her supervisor that she wasn't feeling well. In response, he explained that in order for him to give her a...
