14. What happens to the path of light when it passes through a region of space that has been warped by the gravity of a heavy object? Here are some choices:

Answer #1

According to newton's theory, gravity has no effect on the path of light . But the reality is quite complicated and different. According to Einstein, mass curves space-time.  the stronger the gravitational field of an object, the more the space around the object is warped. Since light ordinarily travels on a straight-line path, light follows a curved path if it passes through a strong gravitational field and hence it deviates from its straight line path.
