Estimate the length of your vacuum's power cord in meters. Within
this cord is a pair of adjacent wires that carry AC current to and
from the machine while you vacuum. These two wires, separated by a
millimeter of insulation, carry the same magnitude of current at
all times, but in opposite directions. Determine the maximum
magnetic force (magnitude and direction) exerted on these wires
while the vacuum is operating.
You'll need to look at the specifications tag on your vacuum
(probably somewhere on the bottom); next to the intended voltage
source (120V at 60Hz) you'll find the rms current draw of the
device.
