The tracer is poured into the reactor at top of the liquid all at once. Comment on the introduction of the tracer solution into the system (i.e. the duration, position etc). Does it resemble an impulse or not, and what is the consequences of this on the results? What effect does the position (on the side or close to the impeller) of introduction have on the results. What would the ideal introduction position be and why? Would you want the introduction of the tracer to resemble an impulse input, if so, how would you achieve this?

1. since the tracer introduced at once hence it looks like pulse experiment. we cannot say its impulse because in impulse we are injecting a small amount of tracer in a very ( infinitesimally small) short time period .
2. position of imepeller is crucial because there is chance of bypassing of these tracer material , that is impeller can only feel the molecule having sufficient residence time others will get bypassed off.
3. we can avoid this by placing a baffle
4. position to introduce the pulse -just before the etrance of the reactor
5. how to acheive impulse input -practically it is very difficult becuase we have to get reasonable pulse in avery shot time . So inorder to get implulse we have to inject in a very short time as a shot .
