Report on the organization's preparedness

Health care Organization are prone to risk of life of patients, quality of services given, advancement in treatments, lesser numbers of nurses and doctors required to cover the crowd, quality of treatment, less number of Ambulance required in case of emergencies.

After interviewing the Health care executive, he discussed the following concern about health care risk and preparedness:

• First, Patient safety is the major concern for them being in health sector
• Government policies about their sector
• Quality of treatment i.e. quality of the staff employed to deduce the medical error
• Violent events take place sometimes

They believe in preparing the risk management process to face the potential risk of financial loss that may occur if patient is subject to wrong treatment.

He said, they evaluate the following things in advance:

1. Measure the risk
2. Chances of happening it
3. How to reduce the chances
4. Take precautions

Their strategies include the following:

• Setting up of the plans, policies and procedures of tackling the situation in case of emergency.
• Integrating with different health care organisations for safer side
• Trained the existing employees against the risk and guide them of the procedures for difficult time
• Follow up

One important thing to notice here, for making the hospitals to provide quality work and better treatment, adequate funding must be provided to them so that they can freely undertake their responsibility.
