In order to establish and make marketing efficient, there have to be goals or objectives planned for the marketing aspect of the business. Which is why for our concept, Your Invited, there have been five marketing objectives to help create an efficient marketing campaign. The five marketing objectives include, decreasing the percentage, 39%, of respondents who have never heard of Destination Cleveland by 10% within 1-year period, ensure the 38% of people who have heard but are unfamiliar become more familiarized with the organization, increase brand awareness of Destination Cleveland from 23% to 28% over a 6 month time period using campaign branding efforts, raise the awareness of Destination Cleveland Visitor Center from the percentage of 29% to 34%, and increase the number of Cuyahoga County residents age 18-24 that have a positive opinion of Cleveland from 23% to 33% within a year.

The various objectives of the ‘You’re invited’ campaign are:

  • Decrease the percentage of people who have never heard about Destination Cleveland by 10% within a year. Currently this percentage is 39% and our aim is to reduce it to 29% within a year. The invitation cards will highlight the Cuyahoga County to increase the interest of people towards our Cleveland
  • Increase brand awareness among the consumers. Currently, 38% of the people have heard but are not familiar with the concept of Cleveland. The marketing objective is to increase brand awareness of these 38% people. Artifacts like logo and website will help in achieving this objective
  • Increasing overall brand awareness of the Cleveland from current 23% to 28% over a period of 6 months. This objective will leverage the culture and brand positioning of Cleveland to enhance its market penetration.
  • The most important objective aims at improving the positive brand opinion from 23% to 33% in a year. For a brand and a marketing campaign to be successful, it is critical that its is positively positioned among its consumers. The positive brand positioning will help develop a connect with the consumers
