write two clear sentences detailing the piece's use of each of the following elements of art:
Please use the detailed vocabulary described in the learning activity section of this module. For example, with color, I want to know if the colors in the painting are analogous, tertiary, primary, etc. Also, be sure to use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
A line- in painting, lines are used to depict the artists state of mind as well as create the boundaries of the shapes and forms. For example if a person is agressive, lines may be very hard, sharp, deep and rapid, whereas if an artist is feeling calm, his lines would take subtle curves, would be smooth and light.
Colours in art of of three types usually, which is primary, secondary and tertiary. Primary colours are very basic tones that cannot be made by mixing. Whereas secondary colours are made by mixing two primary colours together, Tertiary colours are made my mixing primary and secondary colours together. Colour combinations in art are of three types too, first is Analogous, which are the adjacent colours on the colour wheel for example red and crimson, complementary colours lie on the opposite side of for example orange and blue, Monchrome colours are different shades of same colour for example- light grey and dark grey....different Colours are also used by artists for different states of mind for example - blue, purple, voileys represent a cold, depressed state of mind whereas reds, oranges and yellows represent a happy, and more vibrant state of mind.
Perspectives- In art, perspectives are used to create 3 dimensional illusions of space and form on 2 dimensionsal planes. Perspectives can be one point perspectives or two point perspective.
Depth is created by using multiple aspects in art, like using perspectives, colours and lines. Depth is created in order to represent the distance on 2D plane. If something is closer to a viewer will be larger in size, more saturated use of colours, bold use of lines, whereas with increasing distance, lines of perspectives start to merge, object becomes smaller, colours become less saturated, contrast recedes in order to give viewer a sense of space and distance.
Form is used to describe the physical nature of the subject that an artist is trying to record. A form can be rendered to look 3D or 2D, depending on the style of an artist. A flower and a glass is also a form in painting, whereas circles, triangles or any abstract structure can also be termed as a form. Circles and triangles are often termed as geometrical forms in art.
Texture in art is a physical quality of the surface on which an artist paints. A texture can directly convey a state of mind. And different textures can be felt by touching the surface or just by your eye.
Shape is an enclosed area which is 2D. It encompasses colours, textures, forms etc.
