1) What do you think about the importance of the "application"
stage to the total learning process?
2) Is "application" really necessary for individuals and
organizations to truly learn, grow, and progress?
3) Why do you think so many corporations have used Covey's 7 Habits
book in their executive training and development programs?
1. I think that the most important aspect of the total learning process is the stage in which application needs to be done because in business the learning imparted possess and objective and that is application of the learning and make things convenient for the organization, hence the learning is successful or not can be determined if only the application of the learning is successful in the work that the employees do.
2. Yes, the role of application is the most important and in order to grow and progress it is actually required because if we are unable to apply what we learnt then there is no point of such learning. For example a person is aware of addition and subtraction theoretically but is unable to apply that knowledge while purchasing groceries, I think that there is no point in such learning if it cannot be applied.
3. I think that corporations have used Covey's 7 habits in their executive training and development programs because the habits that have been discussed actually are the exact habits that an employee should possess and that is the reason they are still used as a reference. If we look at all the 7 habits we will observe that an ideal employee should possess such habits.
