Equal employment law is a prominent HR concern. In what ways do these laws affect HR practices positively? What do you perceive some negative consequences are? How HR do manages strike a balance between legal compliance and hiring qualified staff?

Equal employment law provided opportunities to all class of people irrespectie of their gender, economic classes, ethnicity etc. Thus racial discrimination kind of orthodox work culture has been completely ruled off by the law. It helps in HR practice to develop a colloborative environment where all class of society will be representing, ccreating a holisitic development and also can create a cultural mix and acceptance through better HR policies.

The negative consequences would be it may results in keeping some ratio for all class of people and finally the people with less capabilities may even get opportunity in the company. This will affect companys overall effectiveness and will lose opportunity for the deserved candidates. In addition chances of creating more frcition between employees will be high and more concentration needed to be given for conflict resolution.

HR managers should wisely take decison and take enough time understanding the capability of the candidate whether they can match with the requirement or not. In addition provide the emplopyees with proper training and development in the case to brdige the gap on skill and knowledge.,
