When complicated medical procedures simply do not work out due to their complexity, is it fair and just that health care providers be held accountable to injured patients, or should patients who consented to high-risk medical procedures share some responsibility? Support your stance.
I think it should be the responsibility of doctor and the healthcare provider in explaining the complexity involved in the medical suregry to the patient and his/her kin and take their consent accordingly but once a consent is provided the responsibility falls on both doctor and patient/ or his/her kin.
Doctor and healthcare provider should provide a highly detailed and clear picture on the patient's current condition, the surgical procedure and the complexity involved, the positive or negative impacts and the side effects etc. to make sure the patient and kin decide to take the minimal risk.
