Ottitis media is the infection of the ear.

It is managed with

  • Analgesics.-To releive pain
  • Non steroidal inflammatory drug.-To reduce pain,and infalmmation
  • Antibiotics - To inhibit the growth of bacteria
  • Pencillin.-Kills specific bacteria.

High dose Amoxycillin is the choice of antibiotic for treating ottitis media

But here the patient is allergic to pencillin.

In patients with Pencillin allergy can use Cephalosporins but shoe cross reactivity 10-15%

Levofloxin shows high efficiency in the management of ottitis media than amoxyllin clavunate. and is advisable in patients with pencillin allergy.
