The patient has a history of CVA and has expressive aphasia. She is unable to carry out purposeful movements, even though she has normal muscle tone and coordination. A full assessment is performed using the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination including interpretation and report (one hour). The consulting neurologist conducts a detailed history and examination, performs medical decision making of low complexity, and dictates a complete report to the requesting physician, along with the finding of the aphasia assessment.
