An open source course management system means that this system is available that is free for anyone to use or modify in any way they see fit, due to free trials, offered by companies paid add-ons or forced hosting is not included in this list. For example a software titles; ATutor, Eliademy etc.

However, the campus-based course management systems are tailored for the needs of running the courses offered on the campus successfully such as student counseling, posting content or uploading files. The Grade Center helps in managing our grades efficiently and switching to courses which we can handle better academically. It also involves; email, messaging, or announcements.
