Visceral organs (Wall of hollow organs except heart) is made up of Smooth muscles are involuntary control

It constitutes much of the musculature of internal organs and the digestive system.

Smooth muscles

Smooth muscles are involuntary and nonstriated muscles( contactile protiens are not arranged into filaments. )

Seen in visceral organs

1. Digestive tract

2.Respiratory tract

3. Urinary and reproductive tract

4. Arteries and veins.

5. Skin

6.Eye

7. Skin

Nonstriated because the thick actin and myosin filaments  that are not arranged into sarcomeres. They are spindle shaped and have less myosin compared with striated muscles.

The triggers for smooth muscle contraction are

1. Hormones

2. Neural stimulation by the ANS,

3. Local factors.

Walls of visceral organs, stretching the muscle can trigger its contraction
