What are the make up of HFCS and table sugar?

HFCS (High fructose corn syrup) is a sweetener made from the corn starch,which is first broken down into glucose (100%).corn syrup mainly consist of glucose.Some enzymes are added to convert a portion of glucose into fructose .so that is taste similar to regular table sugar(sucrose).Example:HFCS 90-it is the most concentrated form  contain 90% fructose and HFCS 55% contains 55% fructose and 42% glucose.

Table sugar is made from the crystallization of beet juice or sugar cane.Table sugar contains glucose and fructose.Table sugar and HFCS 55% are the same composition of fructose and glucose.

HFCS and table sugar goes same metabolic process in body and finaly broke down into fructose and glucose.HFCS 90% has high amount of fructose and it add additional sweetning and excessive consumption could be harmfull.
