  1. Strain which cause this outbreak is multidrug resistant strain of vibrio cholera
  2. Contaminated water bodies including underwater sources
  3. Lack of hygiene and supply of safe drinking water due to poor economy
  4. Poor infrastructure and poor water policy for the storage, filter and supply of safe drinking water
  5. Improper sanitation is also an important cause for cholera outbreak in developing countries
