Design a two group pre-test/ post test to determine if drinking soda causes cavities

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Experimental design of a two group pre-test/ post-test to determine if drinking soda causes cavities :

Choose a group of individuals with the similar characteristics, i.e. same age, body weight, health status and gender (preferably). Test all the individuals for the presence of cavities, all the participants should be free from cavities. Consider one group as the control group, means, they do not take soda, while the other group serves as the test group, who drink soda in the quantities as suggested by the physician. After the test period, compare both the group of individuals for the presence or absence of cavities.
