Answer #1

ANSWER:-

1.In this Research, we use ONE GROUP POST-TEST STUDY DESIGN.

IN this study, there is no comparison groups. only one group is included. and the performanc is evaluated only after their performance.

One  group pretest/post-test design:- In this dsign, measurement / evaluated is carried out twice. ie: once befoe the program is started and once after the program ends. but in this experiment , xamination is done only once. Therefore, this design is not carried out.

Post-only comparison design : In this design, it measures two groups are required in which the outcome / results of  one group is compared with the other group. but in this experiment, only one group is involved. Therefore, this design will not be used.

Experimental study:- In this design , one or more groups are required in which all are randomly selected and evaluated.

The measure of cleaning behavior was subjected to a ______. Participants removed the crumbs substantially more often in the scent condition (M = 3.54) than in the control condition (M = 1.09), t(20) = 2.37, p = .02, thus showing a direct link between scent perception and behavior. You need to test the following hypothesis using which statistical test? Girls who participate in an after-school character building program for 6 weeks have improved self-image (total self-image score 0 to 100) from the beginning of the program (time 1) to the end of the program (time 2). Select one: a. Paired-samples t-test b. Chi-square c. T-test d. Correlation

A company claims to have created a new study pill that increases concentration and alertness. You design a research study to test whether students are better at learning new information after taking the pill. First, you post flyers around campus advertising your study. You make a list of everyone who responds to your flyer and randomly assign each student to either a pill or no pill group. You tell n = 10 participants to come to your lab at 8:00...

A researcher conducts an independent-measures study examining the effectiveness of a group exercise program at an assisted living facility for elderly adults. One group of residents is selected to participate in the program, and a second group serves as a control. After 6 weeks, the researcher assessed the physical fitness of each participant. The data are as follows: Exercise Group: Control Group: n = 15 n = 10 M = 15.5 M = 12 SS = 190 SS = 120.5...

Two fifth-grade math curricula are being studied. Two schools have agreed to participate in the study. One is randomly chosen to use curriculum A, the other to use curriculum B. At the end of the school year, the fifth-grade students in each school are tested and the results are used to do a statistical analysis comparing the two curricula. What criticism do you have of this experimental design? Explain!

I have a hypothesis that Spring Break affects students' stress levels. I use the sign test by measuring students' stress levels before and after Spring Break. I have not completed my study yet, but I know that I will have 12 participants in my study. You can assume Alpha = .05. I think that Spring Break is not the only thing, nor the strongest thing, that will affect stress levels. I think that, in the whole population, the probability of...
