Mr Heron's occupation was a high school principal. He held that position for over thirty years. He is married and has two adult children and five grandchildren, Three times in the last two weeks when you have visited Mr Heron you have found him hovering near the elevator in his building, He has appeared slightly agitated and has not been fully dressed, Today you find him in the same location wearing a suit jacket with no shirt underneath, and he seems particularly upset, He says to you, "The train is leaving and I've got to be on it or I will be late for school (a) How might Mr Heron's personality and past experiences influence the behaviour you witness today? (b) What actions or verbal direction might you do or suggest in order to make me Heron more comfortable
It is quite usual when age increasing, the memory and cognitive functions decreases.
When we consider the case of Mr.Heron, he has altered memory and have delusional thinking and acting.
might be he was aman with punctuality and workholic ,he is obsessed with the thought that he is still in the role of school principal,
We can consider the feeling of the client so we should carefuly listen and reply in a non judgemental fashion. We can ask freely what the belive and what is his mind and gradually derail the unreal thoughts to areal one .
In acompassionate way we should gain trust of the client and tell him the reality in a friendly manner. So gradually he will be calm .
