Answer #1

According to the MayoClinic; A fasting blood sugar level less than 100 mg/dL (5.6 mmol/L) is normal. A fasting blood sugar level from100 to 125 mg/dL (5.6 to 6.9 mmol/L) is considered in the prediabetes range. If it's 126 mg/dL (7 mmol/L) or higher on two separate tests, then diabetes is confirmed.

The reference range for healthy adults is 4.8–5.9% (American Diabetic Association).

For patients with diabetes mellitus, the goal of therapy is less than 7.0% (American Diabetic Association).

Belle could not maintain effective control as in her history; i.e. glycosylated haemoglobin it is 7.0%; which exhibits that her sugar levels were not maintained.
