technique of inserting - connect syringe filled with prescribed

sticky, you may draw upto 2 to 5ml of warm water into the medicine
syringe . Gently shake the syringe to mix the water and remaining
medicine and push it through tube .
precautions - a) do not install air to locate the tube .
b) do not give the patient anything to eat or drink without knowing
that the patient has passed a swallowing assessment . If changing
the gown or repositioning the patient , take care not to pull the
NG tube .
