Decide what type of ROM (PROM, AAROM, AROM) is
appropriate.
Decide which method, anatomical plane or diagonal pattern, is
appropriate.
Determine which multiarticular muscles must be included in the
plan of care.
Decide the frequency of providing ROM, the number of
repetitions, and the number of sets.
Discuss how to perform ROM when patients have abnormal
tone.
Discuss expected responses when performing ROM and the meaning
if expected responses do or do not occur.
Implement ROM intervention.
