1)  Reflect on the ways that research ethics “caused delay” in creating a vaccine for COVID-19.

2)  Are these ethical safeguards always necessary, or should they be waived aside in times of crisis?  

3)  Would it be okay to skip vaccine trials with animals and rush straight to trials in humans, assuming that the participants volunteer to do it?

Vaccine development is not a small process.It takes longer duration in development of vaccine.this process can lose its momentum at any stage . Effectiveness is also an issue.After identify a candidate, safety and efficacy of candidate is tested over three phases . collection and analysis of post marketing data is done in fourth stage.It would not be okay to skip vaccine trials with animals and rush straight to trial in humans because it can have real life threatening danger due to some complication of vaccine.
