1)
involuntary title transfer.
When a person having no title, right or interest in a property enters unauthorized into the property of another person, who is the true owner of the property, the intruder is called a trespasser. When a trespasser dispossesses the true owner of the property and continues to possess that property, in full knowledge of the true owner and the true owner does not take any action to remove the trespasser and repossess the property within a certain period of time then the trespasser, after expiry of the statutory period, acquires a title to the property and right to stay therein without being evicted. Acquisition of right, title and interest in an immovable property in the aforesaid manner is called Adverse Possession or Hostile Possession.
