While deciding to seek the advice and services of an Investment Broker or advisor, the main considerations would be as follows:

1) How many years of experience the Advisor or Broker is having in the Investment advisory/broking Industry.

2) What is his professional qualification and whether it is reputed, sufficient, connected to the Investment Advisory or broking services.

3) Who are the existing clients of the Investment broker or Advisor and whether the existing clients are satisfied with the advice and services being offered by the Advisor.

4) What are the fees he would be charging for his services and advice and whether these fees are justified.

The necessary knowledge would be acquired from many sources like financial/Business newspapers, magazines,newschannels etc.
