empirical model for education and fertility preference on fertility.
In contrast empirical models aim to verify the qualitative predictions of theoretical models and convert these predictions to precise, numerical outcomes. For example, a theoretical model of an agent's consumption behavior would generally suggest a positive relationship between expenditure and income.
Data on fertility preference is used to measure couples' efforts to control their own fertility and to assess Rwanda"s future contraceptive needs not only for birth spacing, but to limit the total number of births.
Fertility preferences were measured through two variable:
•The desire for additional children,
•And the difference between the actual and ideal number of children. Desire for children has two categories:
-Wanting more
-Not wanting more
