What are some possible definitions for government as a producer of law? how can we interpret the distinction between privately produced law, common law, and formal law? Give at least one example for each of these types of laws.

A government is a large Association basically comprised of three parts:-

1)executive

2)legislature and

3) judiciary

in which legislature makes laws executive execute it and Judiciary protects the law.

Privately produced laws 1.govern the relationship between individuals without any state involvement of state, in relation.
Eg. Law of contract,Law of tort,Law of property,Law of succession.

Common laws-it is the part of English law that is derived from custom and judicial precedent excluding statutes.

Example-defamation

Formal law-  it includes rules established by an institution within certain processes.
Examples - constitution of India.
