Intergenerational mobility is the ability of moving up and down the ladder when two or more different generations are concerned when intragenerational mobility is nothing but ability of moving up and down the ladder for an individual of a particular generation this regard consider an individual who is very poor and won a lottery of million USD with which he moves from poor level to reach level as a result of which it can be understood that is moving about the ladder as an individual and this means it is intragenerational mobility because the individual is moving about the ladder but consider another case where poor farmer has a son who succeed in life by making one of the the richest athletes as a result of which he took the whole generation upwards as a result of this sentence is this is intergenerational mobility because the next generation of the farmer climbed up the ladder
