So for our project, me and my group are building a robot that is planned to be an autonomous sorting robot, designed to take a random set of items and be able to categorize them on the basis of their shape. It will be using a camera to identify the shape of the object, then it will move the object using a small, mechanical arm to a set location for all objects of that specific shape. The robot will be controlled by a raspberry pi and will be programmed in C++. The robot will be marketed to businesses that require large amounts of sorting, such as Amazon or any large retail stores that have large warehouses containing hundreds of unique items.
Our simple questions are ,
1. What are some Technical Constraints that can form while doing this project
2. What are some Legal Constraints we could come across with our project ?
We have some ideas but we would love to get a perspective from somebody else who has the knowledge of an electrical engineer and who also might have some experience with a project like this
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE !
1. The technical constraints include the number of bugs present in the final model, the mechanisms used as you have to find out how muc load carrying capacity that particular robot has as it need to carry huge weights at times. Also the material used for the robot must include the durability, tensile strength and resistance as well.
2) Legal constraints of the project include the patents of similar robots ir the similar codes used for building the robot, the permissions required for making the project etc.
