The concept of slavary or slave trade in the British colonies was developed from 1526 to 1776.

Most of the enslaved Africans were sent to British west indies in sugar plants. Enslaved Africans become very important for tobacco cultivation and it become 50% of the population.

Enslaved peoples tried to resist in several ways like slow down work, Tool breaking , organising rebellion etc.

One rebellion which was named as stono rebellion leads to the death of more than 40 Africans and colonist.
