The family structure of Native american people were different from our own. Thier family went beyond thier parents and siblings. The family were very much open minded. In thier family many households come together and form a small community within thier tribe some family were matriarichal and some were patriarichal. Native american family were valued thier responsibility.

While coming into thier communication style native American were not much talketive people. Silence is something that were followed by thier culture. Even if they angry or happy they dont expressed thier emotions. When native amAmericdo communication other gave importance to listening it rather than speaking. There is more emphasis on affective communication such as expressing thier feeling about something, rather than just normal communication.
