List all of the friends and relatives you have who are working for an export industry, or for a foreign-owned firm, or all the foreign-owned firms in your city or town. Under what conditions do people advocate for TRADE RESTRICTIONS?

People start supporting trade restrictions when it starts impacting their jobs and livelihood. If someone is becoming a victim of unemployment because most of the country's jobs are getting outsourced then they start advocating for trade restrictions. The reason behind this is that countries like US prefer getting its goods and services from developing countries like China and India because there the labor is cheap and this hinders the national employment of US.
