For This country, I am assuming you are talking about the United States of America.

In the United States of America, the Tax system is progressive. It increases with the income of the person. The tax slabs start with 10% and go on increasing to 15%, 25%, 28% and so on. A person having a low income will fall in the tax bracket of 10% and the person having a very high income will fall in the tax bracket of 39.6% which is the highest.

Because the tax increase with the income in the hand of the people it can be said as progressive.
