Description

The Second Great Awakening triggered a lot of change in US history. It comprised of a lot of religious activities and changes. It created a sense of hope in people.
The Market Revolution was facilitated through the parallel changes in culture, society and the economy. One important aspect was the development of transportation, for example, railways, waterways and roadways. The system of telegraph also developed during this phase. This led to more efficient exchange of goods, services and money. Further, the system of payments, like wages, for providing factors of production was also improved.
Religion discouraged people to be sinners, and encouraged them to be more productive and do good deeds. This religious movement led to a new way of conducting economic activities, and overall optimism in society.
